The inspiration for designing a product can come from many places. For the botanic print cotton/linen stitched scarf, it came from a walk around our residency on the country side. Here, the poppies were blooming all over the rye fields. The beautiful contrast and surrounding bliss-like nature inspired me to develop a similar design in some of the SS20 scarves.
With the inspiration in mind, the process went on to choosing the right materials, which of course had to be natural fibers which explains the mix between cotton and linen. The coolness of linen and breathability of the lightweight cotton is perfect for a sunny and warm summer day where you want to look stylish or hide from the sunbeams.
